Lab demonstrations are filmed with safety equipment and a safety note on screen. Only try experiments marked safe for home, with an adult where stated.
Questions about the videos
- Yes. Every video has human-written captions, not auto-generated ones, checked for accuracy. This follows the accessibility standard set by WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.2.2. Full transcripts are also provided so you can read rather than watch.
- Yes. All videos are freely embeddable and linkable for educational use. They are designed to complement resources from Khan Academy and BBC Bitesize Biology. Always check the licence shown on each video before commercial reuse.
- Only experiments clearly marked "safe for home" should be attempted outside a school lab, and always with an adult where stated. Safety guidance follows CLEAPSS (UK) and ACS Chemical Safety (US) guidelines.
- Most explainers are under 10 minutes. Each one covers a single concept that matches a written guide — so you can read, watch or do both. For longer structured courses see Coursera Chemistry or MIT OpenCourseWare.
